My final post : Having this  course was beneficial. Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by.      Today, I will write my final post to you and reflect on the course that I had this term. If you read my blog, you are aware that I previously wrote a final post for you. Now, we are writing a goodbye post once more. Therefore, I'm not sure whether this is my last post ever or not, I suppose I'll start writing again in the future. Thus, come back often to my page, you may have me back at any moment. (This image is taken from here .)         I will provide responses to the questions I've been asked regarding this course, engaging in reflection and offering my feedback. 1. What are the strengths and weakness of the course?  I like the variety of technology-based teaching methods the course provided. The given tools can be utilized in our next sessions with learners that are more knowledgeable about technology.  Not all of the texts that were given to us could be read. We might be

My first experience on AI-generated  images: It was useful.  Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by.    Today, I will talk about my experience with generative artificial intelligence tools that I had with Şilan. Using AI, we developed an educational material for our students. You can reach her blog from   here .  The content we produced is embedded below. Additionally, we included a presentation with instructions for utilizing the generative AI we selected.  (This image is taken from here .)      Although it took some time to decide on the right tool, the process of generating the AI course materials was worthwhile. We, as teacher candidates, discovered that incorporating AI technologies into our teaching methodology was simple and effective.       Since generative AI tools provides interactive materials, automated content production, and individualized learning experiences, we strongly advise integrating AI tools into your language education sessions. We used the generative AI tool

My first AR experience: It was amazing. Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by.   Today, I will discuss the AR experience that Şilan and I had. Using augmented reality techniques, we developed an educational material for our students. You can reach her blog from   here . The content we produced is embedded beneath. Picture 1 (This image is taken from here .)      The process of creating augmented reality course materials was smooth and trouble-free. As teacher candidates, we found it uncomplicated to integrate AR into our instructional approach. It is worth noting that the incorporation of augmented reality into the teaching methods can be executed effortlessly.  We recommend incorporating AR into your language teaching classes, as it has the potential to offer a more culturally immersive and engaging experience for students.      While there are certain challenges associated with its classroom use, such as the necessity for internet access and the use of personal mobile devices, it&

My first flipped classroom experience: It was cool. Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by.      Today, I'm going to talk about my and Şilan's flipped classroom experience. We created an instructional video together for our students. You can reach her blog from  here . The video that we created is embedded below.  At the end of it, there will be a brief test for you.  Picture 1 (the image taken from  here .)           First, let's talk about what flipped classroom is.  A technique for teaching called "flipped classrooms" involves turning established teaching approaches inside out. In a flipped classroom, students interact with readings and lectures outside of class, usually by using videos or internet resources. Students can then apply and reinforce what they have learned on their own by participating in interactive, group activities, debates, and problem-solving during class time.      The flipped classroom model has several benefits and drawbacks.  For language

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG! Hello everyone!   Thanks for stopping by.      I'm Buse Açıkgöz, as you are aware. As an English teacher candidate, I go to Marmara University. I had been posting to this blog for a few months, then I stopped. However, I will start uploading my new pieces on a variety of subjects from now on. Today, I'll be discussing a few activities that my friend Şilan and I designed. Incorporating corpus data, these activities promote the use of technology in the classroom.  At the bottom of the website, you can access the two pages of corpus-based exercises we created and the two pages of guidelines we put together for students to utilize COCA correctly.      I want to start by discussing the activities' source. These exercises are intended to aid in the overall comprehension of the eighth unit, "Emergency and Health Problems," in the English language preparation book for Turkish students. Therefore, the English preparation book is where the concept

My final post : Having this  course was fun. Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by.   Today, I will write my final post to you and reflect on the tasks that have been given to me.   First, we started to write blogs and it was nice. It made me realize that I should have blogged before. I didn't have such opportunities until our educational technology teacher made us blog. I would make my students blog. Then, we wrote film revisions on Wiki. I would give such tasks to my students to work collaboratively. I liked the tool but wouldn’t prefer it for collaborative work. Later, we podcasted. I loved podcasting but it was a bit stressful. I find it beneficial for students because it helps them to improve all four skills speaking, listening, writing, and reading. I would give my students this task. Then, we created our digital poster. I liked doing this. It was easy but wasn’t necessary because you could use templates, and just by changing the names and photos, you could complete it

My first digital storytelling: It was cool. Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by. Today, I'm going to talk about my and Şilan's digital story. We created this video together. You can reach her blog from here . The video is embedded below.  Picture.1 (The image is taken from here .) Our teacher gave us three options on how to create our digital story. We decided to do a how-to video. With our video, we tried to make an origami heart. To make this video, we first made our intro and then recorded our video. Later, we recorded our voices accordingly. We tried different applications and found the best tool which meets our needs. We used Clipchamp to edit the video. I find this task challenging but beneficial. I would give such tasks to my students but also give them an application that they can use. Because the process of searching for it was hard and time-consuming.  This type of task is less suitable for young learners. So, if teachers give them to students, they should ma
